Hello, Parents and  Families,

I would like to extend a welcoming hand to the newly appointed  
principal for
Henley Middle School, Patrick McLaughlin. He made a visit to Henley on
Thursday and was very excited and impressed with the welcoming  
atmosphere
created by the students and staff. (My 8th-grade son said he "seemed  
pretty
cool.")

Dr. McLaughlin has asked that I let you know about a blog site he has
created. The address is http://henleyhornets.blogspot.com and it's  
designed
to help provide an open forum to all in the school and the community  
about
what is happening at Henley. He is also trying to get a link to his site
from the Henley website, but that may take a day or two.

Dr. McLaughlin will begin at Henley full-time on July 5, so plan on  
stopping
by to say hello sometime later this summer.
