Chinese class added:

FOREIGN LANGUAGES OPEN DOORS
We have opened a second Chinese class on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 
so please sign up immediately if you are interested, in the office or contact 
Laura Weis at lweis at k12albemarle.org .  Two classes will allow us to 
split the groups by age and ability and keep them small.



Birthday Book Club:

Parents, please look in your child's backpack this week for the Birthday 
Book Club order form.  Additional forms are available in the library.  Orders 
are due on September 26.  This is a great way to support the Meriwether 
Lewis Library.

Back to School Night:

Mark Your Calendars!  Back to School Night is scheduled for Thursday, 
September 21st.  Come meet your child's new teacher and learn more 
about the plans for your child's education for the year.   This MLS event 
is for parents only. 

The schedule for the evening is: 
  
6:30 - New Parents Reception in the Cafeteria 
 
7:00 General Meeting for everyone in the Gym 
 
7:15 Classroom Visits 
 
Please make every effort to arrive on time and be seated in the gym 
by 7 p.m. so that the program may begin on time.
