New Year's Resolution: Clean out book shelves!
 
If you have "grown-up books" that you've read and can recommend, but don't want anymore, please
bring them to the teacher's lounge and throw them in the new Book Basket.  Teachers are invited to
take them home to enjoy, and it's just a simple way parents can show their appreciation to the
fantastic staff at MLS. 
 
Was it a good read?  Is it gathering dust?  Bring it to the Book Basket!




Pasta Night/Talent Show:

Friday February 2 
Dinner at 5:30 pm, Talent Show at 7:00 pm
Limited tickets available at door for $6/adult and $5/child



Paper Bag Collection:

The paper bag collection is continuing!  The Emergency Food Bank is in need of paper grocery
bags.  Just take your standard, good-condition bags, fold them neatly and put into another bag. 
The collection box is in the front lobby.



County Schools Budget:

The School Board will receive public input regarding the proposed budget at 6pm on Wednesday,
January 31st in the County Office Building.  The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing
regarding the budget on Wednesday, March 7th (this is a date change) at 6pm in the County Office
Building.
