> Students can learn about the world this summer without leaving Albemarle County through a special world languages exploratory program called "Passports." Students in grades K-5 will travel through the Spanish-speaking world exploring various festivals in Hispanic countries to validate passports in nine areas ranging from music and weather to geography and customs.

> The half-day program will run from July 5-14 from 8 a.m. to noon at Agnor-Hurt Elementary School, located at 3201 Berkmar Drive in Charlottesville. Passports will be led by teachers Sally Strickler of Greer Elementary School and Kristin Copley of Monticello High School.

> Registration is limited to 24 students and taken on a first-come, first-served basis. The tuition for Passports is $200 per child which includes a $50 non-refundable deposit. Registration forms are available on the Albemarle County Public Schools Website at <http://www.k12albemarle.org/> www.k12albemarle.org under the "Around the World in 8 Days" link.
