About 30 million children of all ages access the Internet. There are safety hazards for children on that information superhighway that can be avoided if families educate themselves about appropriate online behavior and set reasonable rules for Internet use. Albemarle County Public Schools has published an information sheet with tips and links to help families learn how to safely partake of the information bounty of the Internet. Online Safety Tips for Parents and Students can be viewed on the Albemarle County Public Schools website at www.k12albemarle.org. The link is located in the “In the News” column on the homepage.
