Dear Murray Families,
The 5th Grade Yearbook Staff needs your pictures! We have the capability to crop and edit so it doesn't have to be a great picture. We would love to get every child in a candid shot so please send what you have.
As some of you may know, the Fifth grade is responsible for publishing this years yearbook. In order for it to be successful, we need to get as many pictures as we can from the Murray community. The more we can obtain, the better chance we have of getting all the kids in the yearbook and the better it will be. So, if you have taken pictures of your children, their classmates, teachers, etc., we need them. We can take digital or printed pictures. If you have printed photos, please give them to Betty Knight in the office in an envelope with Yearbook printed on it. If you would like to get them back, please put your name on the back of each photo. If you have digital pictures, you can e-mail them to Mary Grove at hokievt84 at adelphia.net.
The yearbook staff is also in need of digital cameras. Should you have an old one we could have, it would be very helpful and much appreciated. We would like the 5th graders to be able to take photos around the school and would love for them to use digital since the cost to develop possible bad pictures taken by a 5th grader could become costly. I know this is a big request but it definitely will be put to good use this year as well as by classes to follow.
The yearbook staff is starting to gather advertisements to be printed in the yearbook. If you or someone you know would like to advertise, please give me a call at 293-8771 and a 5th grade yearbook member will contact you. Advertisements are how the yearbook makes a profit which helps to suppliment the cost of the 5th grade Virginia Beach trip. Advertising is a great way to communicate to everyone in the Murray community as well as support the 5th grade.
In summary, WE NEED PICTURES, digital cameras and advertisers. The yearbook will need to be sent to the printer in March and the kids will need time to design and choose pictures so the sooner the better. We are counting on the Murray community to help us make it the best yearbook yet.
Thank you in advance for your time and effort. Have a great day!
