Hello Murray Families!
In case you
didn't get your flyer in backpack mail yet I wanted to forward a little
message on to you. The PTO would like to support projects this year
that focus on helping our community. We are in the process of
discussing how we can accomplish this. This project is our
first step in that direction. Your participation would be
greatly apprecated. Now on to the details....
Lisa Bowen,
PTO President
What
can children do to make the world a better place?
Answer: Alot!
To support our character counts
curriculum we will be doing a series of projects supporting our community.
Our first project is to have the children make cards and/or decorations
for an Army troop in - our goal is to
provide 500 from
Murray
!!!
To do this, we need your help. We are
asking that you create a few items with your child (that could be hung up
to decorate a mess hall) to send in our package. Some ideas include cut
out hand prints with nice notes written on the inside or print one for the
kids to color (some can be found at http://www.scissorcraft.com/ornaments.htm).
Any thoughtful item is welcome!
To get to in time for the holiday season, please make and deliver the
items to the designated basket in the lobby by NOVEMBER 14TH.
Thank you in advance for your
contribution to this important project. If you have questions, please
contact Jennifer LoCasale-Crouch (971-6840 or
jl3d at virginia.edu).
