1.     7:00 - 7:05pm      Announcements & Consent Agenda:

·         Approval of November 1st meeting minutes

 

2.   7:05 - 7:30pm            CATEC Update:  Dave Jeck

 

3.     7:30 - 8:15pm              Program presentation:

                              Open Dialogue with School Board Representatives

·        Confirmed: Board members Steve Koleszar and Sue Friedman, and Board member-elect Jon Stokes.  

 

4.  8:15 - 8:30pm              Idea Exchange: 

Programs targeted to parents/guardians

Come prepared to share ideas on what your school has scheduled for 2005-06 and activities it has held in the past!

 

5.     8:30 - 9:00pm            School Division Report

·         Policy FB (Diane Behrens)

·         2006 Budget - what are the critical needs for consideration by the School Division?

·         Middle School Program Guide - what the proposed recommendations really mean (Bruce Benson)

·         Highlights of mid-year progress report

 

6.      9:00pm                  Adjourn until Tuesday, January 3, 2006

·        Program Focus: 3 possible options to be agreed upon at this meeting -

o       "Meet the new Superintendent" (dependent upon timing of selection & hiring of Dr. Castner's successor)

o       Legislative Forum with re-elected and/or newly-elected state & national officials from this area

o       Joint collaborations between county schools & institutions of higher learning (UVA, PVCC, etc.)

Idea Exchange:  "Communicating with the School Community" - websites, print & e-newsletters, "back pack mail", etc.  How do schools disseminate information to students' parents/guardian
