Virginia Coalition for Students with Disabilities

REGIONAL FORUMS TO DISCUSS REGULATIONS FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

The Virginia Board of Education will be changing the Regulations Governing Special Education Programs for Children with Disabilities in Virginia.  This will happen because federal law has changed.  The federal law, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) was changed last year.

·                                 Learn about changes to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

·                                 How these changes could affect your child

·                                 Be involved in the process to protect the rights of children with disabilities

·                                 Why families and advocates should be concerned about these changes

LOCAL FORUM TO DISCUSS REGULATIONS FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

The forums are free.  Registration is requested but not required.
