v November Meeting Agenda

 

The November meeting has a very full agenda.  As a result, in order to end the meeting on schedule, it will be important that the times allocated for each segment be adhered to.  Your cooperation in arriving on time - or even a few minutes early - so that the meeting can begin promptly at 7:00pm is appreciated.

1.       7:00 - 7:05pm          Announcements & Consent Agenda:

·        Approval of October 11th meeting minutes

 

2.       7:05 - 7:15pm            "Students Make a Difference Day" recap 

June Smith, Ron Price, Monica Pawinski, Christy Sinatra

 

3.     7:15 - 7:55pm            Program presentation & group dialogue:

                                  "World Language Programs in the County Schools"

·        Options available through the Division at all grade levels, especially non-European languages - Mary-Elizabeth Via, World Languages Coordinator

·        Case study:  Albemarle H.S. language program, with particular focus on French Dept. & French Club activities - Sharon Lloyd & Alexandra Osvath

 

4.  7:55 - 8:15pm                  Idea Exchange:  Special Events &/or After School "Clubs" & Activities

Come prepared to share ideas on what your school has scheduled for 2005-06 and activities it has held in the past!

 

5.  8:15 - 8:30pm                  School Division Report

 

6.  8:30 - 9:00pm                  School Division's new identity & logo concepts           

                                     - "focus group" facilitated by Lisa Moorefield

 

7.      9:00pm                  Adjourn until Tuesday, December 6th

·        Program Focus: Open dialogue with School Board representatives

·        "The State of CATEC"

·        Idea Exchange:  Parenting Programs (invite your volunteer who is responsible for arranging these programs!)
