Following is the agenda for the final Parent Council meeting of the school year, scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) evening, May 2nd, with catered dinner available beginning at 6:30pm.   I'm hoping for 100% school representation!  Thanks.

1.  6:30 - 7:00pm        Dinner & Informal Interaction; Special Recognitions

   

2.  7:00 - 7:20pm        Idea Exchange:

*         "The Care & Feeding of Volunteers" (How do you recruit, train, orient, effectively utilize, and thank your volunteers?)

*         Annual/Strategic Planning (How do you develop annual "action plans" for your PTO, and gather input from parents & teachers to guide this planning & budgeting process?) 

 

3.  7:20 - 7:30pm        Albemarle County "A3" Summer Education Programs

*         Angela Stokes

 

4.  7:30 - 7:45pm        Comments from the School Board

*         Sue Friedman, Chair

*         Pamela Moynihan

 

5.  7:45 - 7:50pm        Election of Parent Council Leadership Team for 2006-07 **

** As per the Parent Council Constitution and Bylaws, the ability of each member of the leadership team to serve in that capacity next school year is subject to each individual being appointed as the primary or alternate representative to the Parent Council from their respective school, or as an At-Large member selected and approved by the Superintendent of Schools.

 

6.  7:50 - 8:10pm        Thinking Back & Thinking Ahead

*         A review of the Parent Council's 2005-06 meetings

*         Initial brainstorming on program possibilities for '06-'07

 

7.  8:10 - 8:30pm        School Division Report & Dialogue

*         2005-06 school year in review - key issues/outcomes

*         The "big issues" anticipated in '06-'07

 

8.  8:30pm                  Adjourn until September 5th (tentative)
