CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA- A Public Forum is being held to further gather public opinion about what local human services are not working for area residents. Forums held by the Charlottesville/Albemarle Commission on Children and Families' (CCF) at the Albemarle County Office Building-McIntire in March. CCF has been gathering information about what human services Charlottesville and Albemarle residents think are not working for the community (e.g., services such as prenatal care, child care, activities for youth, housing assistance, public transportation, parenting classes, rehabilitation, victim services, public health care, mental health/substance abuse treatment, senior services, and emergency financial aid). CCF invites residents to come to a public forum to voice their opinions and learn about this effort. Information gathered will become part of a report, to be released in the early summer, making recommendations to the City Council and County Board of Supervisors about what local priorities should be over the next two years. * City AND County residents are invited to come to the Albemarle County Office Building on McIntire Road, Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 10am, Rm 235 for a 10-minute presentation followed by questions and comments from the public.
