ENRICHMENT NEEDS: Looking for people to lead mini-enrichment clubs at Red Hill in late Fall, Winter or Spring sessions. Club suggestions include, but are not not limited to: Cooking Up Math, Geology, Paleontology, Bird Watching, Gardening, Holiday Cards or Crafts, Puppet Making, Art from Recycled Materials (many recycled items are available for club use), Origami, Clay Sculpting, Show Tunes, Dance, Volleyball, Tennis or Running Club. Do you have a talent or interest you can share with our students? Contact Club Coordinator/parent volunteer Gina Habermeyer at 295-5299 or ghabermeyer at hotmail.com
RAFFLE DONATIONS NEEDED: In order to have a successful fundraising raffle on October 20th, we need to get some great stuff, and you can help! If you have an employer, or have a relationship with a local business, please ask them if they can donate something to the Red Hill Elementary School Annual Raffle. Their business will be recognized for any donation, and the Red Hill PTO is a 501 3(c) Nonprofit Organization. A donation letter from the PTO can be provided to the donor at their request. Be creative! Any goods or services are welcome. Just ask! Parents and Families may also purchase and donate items to be raffled, and these items can be brought to school at any time. Be sure to label the item "Carnival Raffle" and include the name of the business or person who donated the item. Thanks for your help! For questions contact parent volunteer Melanie Evans at mae8n at hscmail.mcc.virginia.edu or 296-7637
RED HILL COOKBOOK: In order to give people more time, the PTO has extended the deadline for submitting recipes for the PTO Cookbook until October 15th. We would love to have everyone's favorites! Send a copy of your recipes to school, email them to Carmen Trimble at ctrimble at esinet.net, or enter them into the online recipe website www.typensave.com (Group Login redhillpto, password panther.)
KID PAN ALLEY WAS A HIT !: Students enjoyed the experience of writing and performing songs with Terri Allard and Paul Reisler this past week. CD's of the Red Hill Kid Pan Alley songs are still available for $12.00. If you haven't already ordered yours, be on the look out for an order form that will be coming out in the Tuesday envelopes tomorrow.
