[RRC] Attention RRC Members

RRC Members,

 

It has been brought to my attention that a rower was seen walking out of the
boathouse backwards when carrying a single. This practice not only endangers
the rower, but subjects other people in the vicinity to injury and could
cause damage to the club equipment. Please walk the boats in a forward
position. This applies to scull boats and sweep boats.

 

Also, for safety and courtesy, please ensure the power lift racks are raised
before heading down to the dock and before leaving the boathouse for the
day.

 

It is in our collective interest to give credence to safe boat and oar
handling procedures for the protection of the equipment and our fellow
rowers.
