[RRC] Please read: Coxswain Clinic, June 5 Meeting Minutes & PARTY!!

COXSWAIN CLINIC
THIS Sunday, June 10th, 4:00-5:00 p.m. 
OR in 2 weeks
Sunday, June 24th, 4:00-5:00 p.m.

In light of recent events, the board and coaches would like everyone
(paid/scheduled coxswains AND sweep rowers.as you will hopefully be
coxing the Learn-to-Row practices and if necessary, a boat in your
program) to attend one of these days.  Rowers should additionally know
what to anticipate from their cox'n in order to be safest in handling
the equipment.  Even if you have attended a past "training session" we
highly encourage you to attend and brush up on your coxing skills and
knowledge, as chances are most of us have not coxed on a regular basis.


Minutes from Tuesday's Board Meeting are attached to this message.

And lastly, 
All are invited to a Potluck BBQ at my house next FRIDAY EVENING, JUNE
15th!
Why wait until the next regatta to eat, drink and be merry?!  (Well,
those going to Richmond the next day to race aren't allowed to get *too
merry*...  There are some new faces in the club this year in the all the
sweep programs and among the coaches and coxswains.  This will also be a
good chance to meet other rowers outside your program and welcome the
new LTRowers!  

I attached the sign-up/directions that will be posted at the boathouse.
If you know you're likely to forget to sign-up or pick up the directions
while you are there, then just see the attachment and RSVP to this
email.  Directions are included.  Hope to see you there!
