To sculling rack renters at RRC:
Completing a long-planned move to the Philadelphia area, Mike Smith
has moved his boat out of the boathouse. Mike has been a stalwart
member of the club and a fine competitive sculler for a long time.
We will miss him -- although no doubt many of you can watch his wake
anytime at various head races.
With Mike moving out of his space (C-3 -- a hanging rack in the
scullers bay), I write to all existing rack renters to learn if you
wish to move your boat. I will take any/all requests under
consideration, and I will select one or more folks to move (if they
ask) based on the criteria listed in the attachment. Keep in mind
that we have one space that rents at half price from the VRA -- it is
L-5, to the left and top as you enter the boathouse scullers bay from
the water. It is not easy moving a boat in/out, but it save you
money.
If you wish to move, please get your e mail request to me by Monday 4 June.
Once we finish this game of musical racks, the next person on the
waiting list comes in to the vacant space (whatever it is) - Margaret
Keller.
FYI - attached are the rules for private boat storage - adopted by
the RRC board and approved by the VRA.
Thanks,
Jack
RRC boathouse captain
