[RRC] RRC Coxswain Opportunities

RRC Club Members,

 

Attention Members

Paid coxing for the sweep programs is available to those who are interested.
You must file a W-4 with the club treasurer, Stacie Reid, and be
placed/scheduled on the coxswain list with Amelia Camacho. This would be a
great opportunity to make a few extra dollars and to get to know more
members in your club. Please email Amelia (ameliafe at embarqmail.com ) or
myself (blueridge8 at juno.com ) if you are interested. If a scheduled coxswain
is a no show, a rower will be asked to volunteer without pay for that
particular rowing session. (Board members are excluded from receiving
coxswain pay)

 

New Sweep Rowers

We have had a few new sweep rowers ask about club policy regarding inclement
weather the day of their respective rowing program. We ask that all rowers
show up for their rowing session. The weather at the boathouse may be
entirely different than where your live. The coaches will be there
regardless of the weather conditions and we do row in the rain.  If there is
a weather delay, the coaches may arrange an ab workout or other
instructional time with the rowers. Once the bad weather passes, rowing will
commence at the discretion of the coaches.
