Thursday 5 June

To newish scullers:

If you have not rowed long on the Rivanna, it can be tricky to know
just where the rocky bits are. And the muddy bits are even more
numerous. Not to mention the snaggy bits.

I plan to go for a row on Saturday morning, leaving the dock at 8:30,
heading downstream for a half mile, then upstream for four -- to the
effective head of navigation at what we call Little Bridge.

Anyone is welcome to come along, as this can be a good way to get a
better sense of the navigable channels. Just follow normal boat sign
out procedures (and be sure to have paid the equipment fee).

We will not row exactly as a tight flotilla, but more like a loose
gaggle. Still, it should be fun and you should get a better sense of
just where all those bad bits are.

No need to respond, just show up, ready at the dock at 8:30 -- or on
that stretch of the water.
