RRC Membership:

The RRC board reminds all members that there procedures for which a guest or
prospective club member can be invited to row out of RRC facilities (whether
or not they are using RRC boats):

1. Authorization for a guest rower to use the boathouse facilities and
club equipment must be derived from a RRC board member prior to going out on
the water.

2. The guest must sign an RRC liability waiver before rowing. That
waiver (and any other paperwork such as the guest rower form and fee) should
go into the black RRC mailbox in the boathouse.

3. Follow the guest rower policy posted at the scullers desk in the
boathouse (or reference the attachment).

4. The guest becomes an RRC member (completes forms/pays fees) and takes
a captain's test.

The reason for these policies are the issue of safety, liability and RRC's
lease agreement with VRA requiring RRC to assist in monitoring access to the
boathouse property.

Thank you for your attention to this reminder.
