Goose and duck hunting season has begun. 

Geese: September 1-25
Ducks: October 10, 11 & 13
Ducks and Geese: December 1-February 15

Hunters have been spotted primarily on the shores of Panorama Farms, mostly between the Judge's Dock and Turtle Island. But other hunters may be elsewhere on the Rivanna.

This is entirely legal. Just letting you know so you don't get surprised by any sudden gunfire or birds falling from the sky.
