[RRC] Wye Island Firs Place Finishes

3 RRC boats did very well yesterday at the 16th annual 12.5-mile Wye  Island 
Regatta.
 
The first 8+ won first place in the mixed 50+ category, rowing it in  
1:17.21.09 and breaking a 2006 course record of 1:24.09.
 
Congratulations David Zuby, Mary Maher, Joe Vanischak, Scott Stroney,  Amelia 
Camacho, Karen Pape, Pam Murray and Diana Bower, Brian Meffle  (coxswain)
 
The second 8+ won first place in the mixed 40+ category, rowing it in  
1:31.02.65.
 
Congratulations Maria Hatz, Colin Pape, Phil Jewell, Mike Hatz, Ben Jewell,  
Kinga Dobolyi, Nancy Kehoe and Gloria Gibb, Andrea Czarkowski (coxswain).
 
Gia DeAngelis also placed first in women's 40+ 1Xs, rowing it at  1:30.45.92.
 
It was great day -- a little hot out there on the water -- but thanks to  
everyone who went and to those who supported us.
