[RRC] Head of the Potomac Results September 21

Rivanna made a pretty good showing at a well attended regatta.  Great fall 
weather, although there was some  wind and choppiness,  especially in the last 
half of the 2.8 mile course through the Key  Bridge.
 
Times  and places were:
 
Men's Open 1x: Our Dominick Montie placed fourth with 17:54.  William Greer 
was first at 17:05.
 
Men's Master 1x. Rivanna's Chris Jackson placed second with  19:04.
 
Women's Grandmaster 1x. Our old friend Cindy Cole won in  20:44, while 
Rivanna's Anne Cann was second at 22:22.
 
The club's ancient mariner, Kit Collins,  won the  Veteran's (60+)  1x with 
an actual time of  20:01. Ben Bennett  finished 7th with 21:24.
 
In the Women's Master 2x, Cathy Coffman and Hilary Kerner took  first with 
17:57, twelve seconds ahead of (boo hiss) Saugatuck's Raila/ Padilla.  Gail 
Kongable and Anne Cann (in her second race of the day)  finished  fourth with 
19:32.
