This is an Albemarle County Public Schools media release from 9:05 AM
Tuesday, March 27, 2007.

Update: Brownsville Elementary School and Henley Middle School Bomb
Threat

Due to bomb threats at Brownsville Elementary School and Henley Middle
School, changes in the schedule for both schools are being made.
Albemarle County Police are now at Brownsville and Henley investigating
the safety concerns. More information will be provided later this
morning as it becomes available. Parents are asked to check their
e-mail and phone messages for updates through the Emergency School
Notification System.

Brownsville Elementary School students were moved to Western Albemarle
High School and will remain there until Police authorize students to
return to campus. Parents can pick-up Brownsville students at Western
Albemarle in the small gym but are reminded to sign-out their students
with staff before doing so.

Busses have dropped Henley students off at Western Albemarle High.
Henley parents can opt to keep their students home today as an excused
absence but are reminded to send a note to school with their child on
Wednesday. Parents whose Henley students rode the school bus today can
pick-up their students at Western Albemarle High large gym but must
sign-out their students with staff.

Western Albemarle High will operate on its normal schedule today.
