Dear Friends - As a SchoolMatters subscriber, you know I have spent years
using this communications tool, my blog, and constituent website to share
accurate and timely information with our community about public education.
As we head into the last few days of my campaign to be re-elected to the
at-large seat on the Albemarle County School Board, I need to ask for your
help.
 
This will be a low turn out election.  Every vote matters.  Please make sure
people you know actually go out and vote in this important school board
race.  I will be on the ballot for everyone in Albemarle County.  My
opponent has decided at the last minute to turn this campaign in a negative
direction and is raising funds for a last ditch effort to get his name in
front of the public.  
 
As I have been knocking on thousands of doors all over Albemarle, I see
voters need more information about the issues and the candidates in this
race.  Remember, 70% of our residents do not have kids in our schools.  With
your help, we can ensure everyone makes an informed vote. Thus, I am asking
for your help to raise $5,000 to keep our positive advertisements running on
local radio through election day.  In these ads, we are sharing the news
that Albemarle's teachers have endorsed me for a second term.  
 
I'd appreciate a donation of any amount to aid in this effort!
