I am repeating a lot of the information given in the first issue since there
are a lot of new subscribers.  New information is in red. 

 

Back to School night

Please plan to attend Back to School night tomorrow, August 31. This is a
time where you can learn more details about your child's schedule throughout
the day and what is planned for the year.  Unlike the Open House, this is
meant to be a parent only event so please make child care arrangements for
your children.  

                                    Grades K-2                  5:00-6:00
P.M.

                                    Grades 3-5                   6:30-7:30
P.M. 

 


Cub Scouts


If your first through fifth grade son is not currently in the cub scouts and
is interested in joining, please bring him to the school cafeteria on
Thursday, August 31 at 7:00 P.M.  to hear about Pack 141.  For more

Enrichment


The Stone-Robinson after school enrichment program needs your help!  If you
would like to teach an enrichment program in the fall, please let Missy Cruz
know as soon as possible. If you are considering teaching but need to talk
about the details further please email or call Missy at
cruzall4 at earthlink.net <mailto:cruzall4 at earthlink.net>  or 295-7806.  The
sessions can be combined if you feel you need more time.  With your help,
the SRE enrichment program can be even better!

Fall dates are as follows: 

                                    Session I                      Begins
October 2 and runs for 4 weeks

                                                                        Make
up week of October 30

                                    Session II                     Begins
November 8 and runs for 5 weeks

                                                                        Make
up week of December 18

 

T-shirts

If you missed seeing the new SRE t-shirts at the Open House, keep an eye out
for them at Back to School night and other PTO sponsored events.  Children's
sizes are $10 and adults are $12. 


 


 


 


Box tops/grocery cards


Please don't forget to collect Box Tops 4 Education as well as designate
Stone-Robinson on your grocery savings cards.  Many of the stores require
that you do this every year so even if you have done it in the past, please
take a moment to do it again this year.  Food Lion and Giant allow you to do
this via their websites.  You just need your card number.  This is an easy
way for Stone-Robinson to get money and free useable items. 

 


The PTO Needs You!


We are always looking for volunteers.  Any amount of time is appreciated -
even 30 minutes makes a difference.  If you have a bit more time on your
hands, we have several open board positions.  Please contact Jayne Rathburn

you are interested or want more information. 

 

PTO Meeting Tuesday, September 19

Please mark your calendars for the first PTO meeting of the year to be held
