Burley Expo Night
(Please note that the time has changed)
The Jackson P. Burley Parent Teacher Organization would like to invite 4th
and 5th grade families to attend this informational session on Thursday,
February 16 from 4:30 to 7:30 P.M.  This evening is a chance to come see
what Burley has to offer.   Some of the activities will include:  guided
tours, spaghetti dinner and dessert sale, placement process, and lots more.

Charlottesville/Albemarle Gang Identification and Prevention Forum

Attend this free community event on Thursday, February 23 from 6:00 – 9:00
P.M. at the Monticello Event and Convention Center to learn about resources
for identifying and responding to a variety of warning signs.  Parents and
community members can take action to prevent our children from participating
in gangs.  The evening will include a national and state overview on gangs,
a local panel, question and answer period and refreshments.


Spring Enrichment

Once again, the enrichment team has put together a fantastic group of
classes for the spring session.  The deadline is February 22.  Please see
the attachment for the form if you need it.  Contact Missy Cruz with

Spring Festival Auction

A big part of the spring festival is the silent auction.  Please think about
what you can contribute or whom you can ask for a contribution.   If you
have a talent or skill you would like to share, a vacation place or a family
business that could contribute something, please let Tara Mincer know at

Remember, any help you can provide for the spring festival would be greatly
