Golden Apple Awards

Better Living Building Supply and Better Living Furniture is once again
sponsoring the Golden Apple Awards.  These awards honor some of our
outstanding city and county teachers.  Previous candidates for this award
have demonstrated excellence in teaching and involvement in the community
outside of school.  Nomination forms are available at
www.betterlivingvirginia.com <http://www.betterlivingvirginia.com/>  or
www.k12albemarle.org <http://www.k12albemarle.org/> .  The forms should be
turned in at Stone-Robinson and the deadline for nominations is March 8.

Skate Night
Our 3rd Skate Night is happening this Friday, March 10 from 6:30 to 8:30
P.M.  Bring your skates, helmet and a smile and take a few laps around the
gym.  Pizza and drinks will be available for purchase.  $1 per skater.
Limited rental skates are available for $.50.  Please remember to donate any
unused skates and helmets you may have so others may join in the fun.

Tornado Preparedness Drill
Stone-Robinson will be holding a tornado preparedness drill on March 14.
This means that a practice will be held to move the children into the
hallways and away from windows and doors, seated in a “duck and cover”
position.  The children will be reminded that this is only a practice test
so that they are prepared if faced with such an event.




PTO Meeting Tuesday, March 21

Start the night off with a delicious pancake supper then take a stroll
through the halls to see the wonderful handiwork of our talented students.
You can also listen to the third graders perform an SOL-themed program
entitled, “Did You Know?”

Snow Make Up Days
At this point, the last day of school is Tuesday, June 13
