Beauty and the Beast


Rehearsals will take place immediately after school beginning November 27
and run through December 8.  K-3 rehearsal time is 2:45-4:00 and 4th and 5th
graders will rehearse until 4:45.   Supervision will be provided for younger
children who finish early that have siblings rehearsing longer.  If you
would like to help out in any way, whether it’s with the rehearsals or
supervising the children, please contact Sasha Noble at 293-9322 or

held on December 9 and 10.



Parent Council Rep Needed

We are still in need of a Parent Council Rep. You would attend a monthly
evening meeting with representatives from other schools and the county
school board.  You then report back items of interest to our PTO.  If you

Stone-Robinson Sweatshirt Sale

Don’t forget that the sweatshirt sale is going on now.  The deadline for
orders is December 5 and they will be delivered to the school on December
15.   They will have the same great logo that the T-shirts have “School is
good, Stone-Robinson is great” and are available in red, navy, grey, light
blue and pale pink.  Youth come in sizes S, M and L and are $13 for crew
neck and $18 for hoodies.  Adult sizes are S-XXL and are $15 for crew neck
and $20 for hoodies.   Call me at 984-0533 with questions or

Inclement Weather Policy

It is going to be upon us sooner or later
yes, snow and ice.  The boundaries
of the Albemarle County school system covers almost 750 square miles of both
rural and urban roads so it is a real challenge to make a decision that is
right for all schools.  Typically, the division closes school when the buses
can’t safely navigate 80% of its service area.  When schools are reopened,
the Transportation Department works with families living in more rural areas
where roads may not be clear to make alternative arrangements.  The school
division Winter Weather School Schedule Hotline number is 296-5886 and is
updated by 5:30 A.M. on days when the weather is in question.  If you want
to receive an automated email about closings and delays, you can subscribe

For each day schools are closed for weather related reasons, a make-up day
is used.  The make-up days for 2006-07 are: Jan.2, Feb. 20, March 22, June
7, June 8, June 11, June 12, and June 13 and are used in the order listed.
