Free ADHD Workshops

The Albemarle Resource Center is sponsoring a free workshop entitled Getting
a Handle on ADHD: A Survival Guide for Parents.  This informative workshop
will be held at the Albemarle Resource Center at 1200 Forest Street in
Charlottesville.  Parents of elementary school students should plan to
attend on Thursday, February 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M.  The session for
parents of middle and high school students will be held on Thursday,
February 15 also starting at 8:30.  For more information and to RSVP, email

Talent Show

Our very own SRE talent show will be held on Thursday beginning at 6:00 P.M.
in the gym.  We will have over 30 acts thus the early start time!  How
exciting it will be to see the talented singers, dancers, musicians,
gymnasts and more.  It is going to be a night to remember so come with your
family to see the arts come to life at Stone-Robinson!

 

Usborne Book Fair 

Stone-Robinson is holding a book fair with Usborne Books.  This company
specializes in beautifully illustrated, high quality books that are both
educational and fun.  A full display will be in the cafeteria on Tuesday and
Wednesday from 9:00 - 3:00 and then on Thursday from 9:00 - 9:00 so while
you are at the school for the talent show, you can browse for books. The
entire catalog can be viewed online at www.ubah.com/T1322 and books can be
purchased on the website as well.  Just click on the Stone-Robinson
Elementary e-fair located on the top right corner.  Orders will be taken
until Friday, February 9.  All sales will help the PTO earn free books for
school as well as cash!  If you have any questions, please contact Jessica

Patriot Cheerleaders Cheer Clinic

The Albemarle High School Patriot Cheerleaders will be having a fundraising
cheer clinic this Saturday, February 10 from 8:30 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at the
AHS gym.  Anyone in Kindergarten through 8th grade interested in cheering is
invited to attend.  The cost is $25 with registration at the door.  Cheer
clinic t-shirts available for $10 extra.  There are limited scholarships

Burley Expo Night

Burley Middle School is holding its Expo Night on Thursday, February 15.
This event is designed to provide Burley students (and prospective students)
and their families an opportunity to explore all that the school community
has to offer.  The evening begins at 5:00 P.M. and will end at 8:15 P.M.  Be
looking for the flyer that will be coming home via backpack mail with
further details.
