Family in Need
An Albemarle County employee's family (including 5 children) was burned out
of their home last week. They are in need of clothing, baby items and gift
cards. If you would like to help, please bring donated items to Walton
Middle School. Sizes needed include: Girls size 4,6 and 8, Men's size 38/34
pants and XL shirts, Women's size 20 pants and 2X shirts and baby clothes
for both sexes 12-18 months. Thank you for your help!
Wigs for Kids
On Sunday, March 18 from 11:00 - 2:00, Jennifer Snoddy from Classy Images in
Greene County (and a Stone-Robinson mom) will volunteer her services to help
raise money for Wigs for Kids. A first grader at SRE has been growing her
hair for years in order to donate it to this worthy cause and Jennifer has
graciously agreed to help her. If you would like to donate hair or money,
please come by Classy Images on the 18th or contact Kristi Thomas at
kthomas0808 at hotmail.com <mailto:kthomas0808 at hotmail.com> .
Pancake Supper/Fine Arts Night
Next Tuesday, March 20 will be the pancake supper and Fine Arts Night. The
evening will begin at 6:00 with pancakes. During dinner, we will have an
open forum with Principal Kindler. If you would like to submit questions
ahead of time and remain anonymous, submit your questions to me at
rathburn at mindspring.com <mailto:Rathburn at mindspring.com> . After dinner,
you can stroll through the halls to see the fine art work of our students.
At 7:00, the 5th grade Recorder Club and Chorus will be performing. We look
forward to seeing you there!
Camp Wahoo
Camp Wahoo is a coeducational camp for rising 4th through 9th graders that
is designed to promote life-long sports participation and health building
character. It will be held June 24-29 at the Miller School and offers both
day and overnight opportunities. Ms. Reardon has brochures if you are
interested.
Spring Festival
The annual Spring Festival will be held on Friday, April 27. If you are
interested in helping with the festival in general, contact Angela Gurley at
atamberr at peoplepc.com <mailto:atamberr at peoplepc.com> or the silent
auction, Tara Mincer at taramincer at aol.com <mailto:taramincer at aol.com> .
