SPRING FESTIVAL and SILENT AUCTION  APRIL 25th, 5:30 – 8:00 P.M.
 
Moonbounces!  Dunk Tank!  Magic Shows! Petting Zoo!  Games!  Face Painting!  Great Food and Prizes and More! 
 
Fabulous items at the auction include a youth bike, a Wii, a Nintendo DS, a football autographed by Chris Long, jewelry, beautiful handmade crafts, amazing class baskets (spa day, father’s day, movie night, webkinz, Hannah Montana, and more)….too many to mention….and that doesn’t even include gift certificates to local businesses and restaurants.  You’ll have to see it to believe it!
 
REMINDERS:
 

Spring Festival T-shirt orders are due this Friday, the 18th.  If you have lost your order form and would like another one, please contact Sasha Noble at snoble20268 at msn.com.
 

Next week is spirit week, leading up to the festival on Friday the 25th.  Look for backpack mail with all the wacky details on things like Recycle Day, Pajama Day and UVA Day!
 
 

Items are wanted for the ever-popular-can’t-have-enough-goodies CAKE WALK.  We will take ANYTHING: home-baked, store-bought cakes, pies, doughnuts, brownies, cookies, ….we take it all!  If possible, please try to package the items into smaller portions.  Questions?  Contact Lisa Jacobson at LJ1011 at gmail.com.
 
·         The SRE Green Group is hosting a contest at the Spring Festival this year.  They are looking for a creative tool/invention made of all recycled materials, which can be used to better our world. This will be due Thursday, April 24th by noon, delivered to Mrs. Merritt’s room.  All entries will be displayed at the festival. Good luck students!
 

Perhaps our biggest reminder is that we are in desperate need of volunteers to help run the games that evening.  Each class is sponsoring a game or activity, and we only need 4 parents from each room…one person per 45 minute shift.  If you can volunteer just 45 minutes that night, PLEASE contact Jenne Garrett at Garret2kids at msn.com.  It takes a tremendous amount of help to make this night a big success for our children.  Please help make that happen.  
 
FIELD DAY FOR grades 3-5 is this Friday, the 18th!  
Come cheer on the kids as they participate in races and games in the morning, outside on the blacktop and soccer field.  The afternoon will bring some wonderful nutrition activities and goodies in the cafeteria.
