SPRING FESTIVAL and SILENT AUCTION  APRIL 25th, 5:30 – 8:00 P.M.
 
Volunteers:  a HUGE thank you to everyone who has stepped up so quickly in our “hour of need.”  We now have a FULL volunteer list!  Remember, no matter what you are volunteering for, you need to check in at the volunteer booth in the front lobby when you arrive.
 
Raffle Tickets: The Stone-Robinson PTO is selling tickets for the raffle being held Friday night at the Spring Festival.  Tickets are $1 each, and hopefully every family received 10 tickets home in backpack mail.  If you cannot sell the tickets, please return them to school so that we may sell them on Friday night.  We have great prizes including Webkinz, Ice Park tickets, Chick-fil-A Kids' meals, and jewelry.  Our grand prizes are a youth bike and a Nintendo DS!  Feel free to sell more than ten tickets - you can ask for more through backpack mail.
 
Cake Walk:  Items are wanted for the ever-popular-can’t-have-enough-goodies CAKE WALK.  We will take ANYTHING: home-baked, store-bought cakes, pies, doughnuts, brownies, cookies, ….we take it all!  If possible, please try to package the items into smaller portions.  Questions?  Contact Lisa Jacobson at LJ1011 at gmail.com.
 
Reminder:  If you ordered a Spring Festival t-shirt, they should be arriving in a couple of days, and we will send them home with your child.
 
 
 
DESTINATION IMAGINATION: 
On April 5th, Stone-Robinson's 5th grade Destination Imagination (DI) Team placed first at the State DI Tournament.  Jack Farrell, Bailey Mincer, Garrett Mooney, Julia Rivera, and Sam Spear qualified as a team, along with their team manager, Angie Mooney, to compete at the Global DI Tournament in Knoxville, TN May 21-24.
 
This is a great honor for Stone-Robinson, and the Albemarle County School System.  The county is providing a bus for its students to make the trip (other AC schools qualified as well), but expenses for this trip exceed $6000.  The school and the PTO, as well as some private donors, have generously provided more than $4000 of the cost of the trip.  If you would be interested in making a donation, please send a check to the school payable to SRE-PTO with "Destination Imagination" in the memo.
