SRE Talent Show is Rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 29th 6:30 P.M.
 
The talent show snow date is this Friday…and weather doesn’t look to be an issue!  Come cheer on your fellow students, enjoy some fantastic entertainment and support the performing arts in our school!
 
ALBEMARLE FAMILY FUN FAIR & CAMP EXPO THIS WEEKEND!
 
This weekend is the 4th Annual Albemarle Family Fun Fair & Camp Expo. This free family event at the Omni Hotel includes free mini-camps where kids can try new things like knot-tying or soccer, theatre acts, magic shows and over 75 camps and classes will be represented. Everything from the local YMCA to out-of-state sleep away camps will be there to talk about fun andeducational opportunities. At the Expo, Albemarle Family is also debutingtheir new daytrip book, packed with fun Virginia facts, teacher-written SOLtips and more than 400 fun and educational outing ideas.
 
 
SKATE NIGHT #3 FRIDAY, MARCH 7TH 6:30 P.M.
 
The last two skate nights have been so popular, we’re having another one on Friday, March 7th.  Due to the large crowd, our skate rental closet was unable to meet the demand.  Please consider donating to the school if you have any rollerblades or roller skates that no longer fit your kids.  In particular, we have a need for larger size skates.  We can also use more helmets too.  Anything you can contribute would be most welcome!  In addition, we can REALLY use more parent volunteers.  If you can help to take money, sell pizza, or work the rental closet, please contact Kalya Campbell at kalcmpb2 at comcast.net.
 
USBORNE BOOK FAIR AT SRE MARCH 18th – 20th
The fair will be Tuesday, March 18th – Thursday, March 20th from 9A-3P in the cafeteria.  We are looking for three volunteers for every hour of the fair, including help on Monday to set things up.  These books are wonderful, educational and entertaining, and the proceeds get fed back into our school.  We need a lot of parent help to aid the students in filling out their forms and selecting books.  If you can donate a bit of your time, please contact Kristie Via at gator0615 at msn.com. 
 
 
ENRICHMENT TEACHERS NEEDED!
Have a skill, or hobby you’d like to share with students at Stone-Robinson?  We are looking for some fun activities and the “teachers” to lead them after school for our enrichment program. Scrapbooking, poetry, games, art, building with legos…the possibilities are endless. Please note that these are paid sessions, so you can have fun and make some good money at the same time! KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION, TUESDAY MARCH 25TH  9A-1P ; 3-6P
Please note that your child does NOT need to be present to register.  You WILL need: birth certificate, two forms of proof of residency (1. deed, mortgage, rental agreement, etc; and 2) some kind of bill with the home address such as a utility bill or a pay stub. SPRING FESTIVAL and SILENT AUCTION APRIL 25th 5:30-8P
This year our theme is “OUR WORLD, OUR FUTURE”
Newsflash: since so many in our community are facing financial hardships right now, we’ve lowered the price for our Spring Festival to $5.00!!!  We hope that will help more families be able to attend the festival, or have a little more fun money for the auction. We’re still going to have the moonbounces, the dunk tank, magic show, face-painting, tattoos, new and exciting games, and FABULOUS items up for raffle and auction.  Stay tuned….and as always, if you have a service (painting, massage, free tax preparation, etc), or an item that you’d like to donate to the auction, please contact Tara Mincer at Taramincer at aol.com .  The next meetings for both of these committees will be on Friday, March 14th:  Silent Auction at 10am and Spring Festival at 10:30.
