The Stony Point Volunteer Fire Company (SPVFC) is having a volunteer
open house this Sunday at 3pm!

 

 

The SPVFC  has a very real need for Stony Point residents to
participate. There are a lot of neighborhoods along route 20 which need
us as much as we need their help and support.   Folks can learn more

The SPVFC participates in the FireCorp program.

The mission of Fire Corps is to enhance the ability of fire departments
to

utilize citizen advocates and provide individuals with opportunities to

support their local fire departments with their time and talents.

 

Therefore, community members who can't fight fires or run medical calls
can

still help with administrative and logistical needs (shopping, canteen

services, fundraising, website, maintenance, grant writing and helping
with

paper work).  A few hours a month could be a tremendous help.  We have

increasing need for someone to assist us with the growing amount of

paperwork we are required to complete.

 

The open house is at 3 PM on Sunday January 29.  For more information
