[SutherlandMatters] 8th Grade Dance Help Sought

Dear Sutherland Middle School Parent, 

The Sutherland Middle School PTO and 8th grade parents are hosting an
8th 
Grade Celebration for the graduating students on June 2, 2007. The
students 
do not pay for this evening event and the attendance rate in the past
has been 
close to 100%. 

Each year, donations from local businesses are given to the students in
the way 
of door prizes. These prizes add a flare to the celebration and will be
used in 
a fun and creative way at the event. However, without the generous
support of 
the community this tradition would be impossible. 

The celebration committee would like to reach out to parents of SMS
students who 
might be in a position to donate a door prize. Any donation that would
be "fun" for   
a 14 year old would be greatly appreciated. Donations may be made in a
variety of 
ways: 

* a door prize gift item (could be from your place of employment)

*  a gift card from place of employment

*  or a small cash donation (the committee will use this to purchase a
gift card)

Contributors are thanked both in the school newsletter and in the
program for 
the Sutherland 8th Grade Celebration. Your contribution is a tax
deduction and we will 
provide you with the SMS tax ID# in a thank you letter.

We hope you will join us in making the Sutherland 8th Grade
