Dear Chorus Parents!!
 
We are preparing for our Chorus Winter Concert next week
 
Tuesday, Dec. 4th 
6:15pm Sign-in and Dress Rehearsal with AHS Patriot Singers
7:00 pm Concert

We want to invite all our parents and friends to join us at the concert.
This year's concert will be very special. The students in the chorus
department have been working hard to make this a wonderful musical
event. This year 's performance is very special...the Albemarle High
School Patriot Singers will join us and perform with us in our concert!!

 

We will be having an AFTER CONCERT PARTY with food and drinks in the
cafeteria to raise money for the chorus. We are asking each family to
donate baked goods, snacks, or drinks for us to sell.  WE NEED LOTS OF
FOOD AND DRINK DONATIONS AS WELL AS PARENT VOLUNTEERS!

Please bring all donations to the school office by the end of the school
day on Thursday afternoon or with you to the concert in the evening. If
you can help us with the set-up up on Tuesday at 6:00 pm, please email
Ms. Whitmore at jwhitmore at k12albemarle.org by Monday, Dec.3rd.
 
 
Remember, the chorus departments will soon be ordering our new scores
and music for the spring concerts and fund raising for our various
festivals trips and performances. We do indeed need the help and support
from our parents and community.  
 
 
CHORUS STUDENTS CONCERT:  Chorus students report to the chorus room at
6:15 on Tuesday. Socializing does not take place in the chorus room
before a concert. (That is what the party is for after the concert!)
Student's will sign in and warm up with the group. Student's conduct and
demeanor determines his/her grade for this concert. Parents, please keep
in mind that an unexcused absence will be a student's failing grade for
this concert.
CHORUS CONCERT DRESS: Black and white: Students wear the concert shirt /
pants / dress / jacket that has been given to them in class this week.
6th graders: please wear black pants or skirt with the concert shirt.
(GIRLS: All skirts at least knee length!) Black dress shoes are required
(NO flip-flops! Stumbles on stage possible).
 
SCHOOL ASSEMBLY ON FRIDAY, DEC. 7:  We will be performing much of our
music for the school assembly on Friday from 9:30 -10:30 am. Dress for
the chorus singers is a red or green top (t-shirt or shirt) and dark
pants or skirt. Again no flip-flops!
