A HIGH SCHOOL MAP: NEGOTIATING THE COLLEGE ADMISSIONS MAZE

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This presentation is applicable to ALL 8th-11th grade
Parents AND Students.
WHERE: AHS AUDITORIUM
WHAT ELSE: Mr. Freeman will present information about what colleges
expect
from applicants: high school course selections and grades, PSAT/SAT
scores,
letters of recommendation, community service and extracurricular
activities.
Reference materials include: a checklist for each grade, college
calendars,
and information sheets that provide instructions to parents on how to
negotiate, year-by-year,
the College Admissions Maze.
