[SutherlandMatters] Congratulations to the 8th Grade Band!

A very special "congratulations" goes out to Sutherland's 8th grade band
on their superior performance at Festival.  

 

This past Friday, the 8th grade band became the first in Sutherland's 14
year history to receive a "Superior" rating at the District Concert Band
Festival! A "Superior" is the highest rating possible and extremely
difficult to earn.  These students should be congratulated on all their
hard work and attention to detail in preparation for this event.

 

>From the three judges, the band received caption grades that were all
A's and B's, and some of the judges comments about the band were:

 

"A Great performance in all areas!"  "Your technique was very
impressive!"  and "Excellent musical effect!"

 

Once again, congratulations and thank you to the 8th grade band for
representing Sutherland at such a high level.
