[SutherlandMatters] Musical Excellence Recognized at SMS!

The orchestra performed at District Festival yesterday and received a
Superior rating (a 1).   Sutherland Middle School is now recognized as a
VA Music Educator's Association "Blue Ribbon School"!   This means that
all three of our music programs - band, choir, and orchestra - received
a rating of "1" at District Festival.  This is the highest honor an
ensemble can receive at District Festival and an award given by VMEA to
few schools in the state.  

 

Congratulations to our students and thanks to our families for all of
your support!
