[SutherlandMatters] Call For 8th Grade Parent Help

THE 8TH GRADE CELEBRATION IS COMING UP AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Here are some things you can do to help celebrate the SMS Class of 2008:

1.  It takes many hands, skilled and unskilled, to transform the cafeteria and gathering area into  an amazing party venue -- show up and help decorate on May 2nd anytime from 4:15 til 9ish.  If you can, let Anne Heldreth (heldreths at embarqmail.com) know you will be coming.  Scissors, ladders and extension cords always welcome.

2.  Faculty and staff are guests at this event, so parent chaperones are essential to ensure that the appropriate atmosphere is maintained.  Chaperones can be strategically placed so as to be practically invisible to their kids!  Please contact Ruth Sisman (rsisman at k12albemarle.org) to volunteer.

3.  Come to our planning meeting tomorrow, Wednesday April 16th, at 6:30 in the SMS Media Center to catch up on the preparations.
