            The Sutherland PTO is proud to present its final fundraiser of the year!

Book Fair

Thursday - Saturday, May 1st - 3rd

Just say ... "I'm with the Book Fair" ... and

 

Sutherland Middle School earns a percentage of your purchase!

 

Special events:

          Thursday, May 1 - 7pm-8:30pm "Meet Your New Principals"

Mr. David Rogers, Sutherland Principal, and Mrs. Tracey Saxon, Sutherland Assistant Principal, greet rising 6th graders & parents!

 

          Friday, May 2 - 6pm - 9pm "Acoustic Evening"

Mr. Ryan Lee and Ms. Lizzie Ramey share their musical talents.

 

        Saturday, May 3 - 10am & 2pm "Story Time with Sharky"

Join Sutherland's mascot, "Sharky", for some silly shark stories.

Have your picture taken with "Sharky", too!

       If sales are $2,000 or less for our 3 day event, Sutherland receives 10% of the total sales.

       If sales are between $2,000 and $10,000, Sutherland receives 15% of the total sales.

       If sales total more than $10,000, Sutherland receives 20% of the total sales.

 

Café purchases are included!!

Enjoy some coffee and a pastry knowing Sutherland receives a portion of the sale!

 

The "surf" with the best attendance at the book fair earns its surf teacher a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card!

 

       Recommended summer reading lists per grade will be distributed shortly.  Barnes & Noble is trying to have these books available during our book fair as well.

 

Help needed:

       Can you spare two hours?

We would like two people per two hour shift to be at the book fair table to tell customers they can help Sutherland by just saying "I'm with the book fair" when they pay for their purchases.  What a great way to spend two hours with a friend you haven't seen in ages!  The shifts are 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, 3pm-5pm, 5pm-7pm and 7pm-9pm.  The most important times are from 9-1 and 3-9 so consider those shifts first please.  Contact Carol Lee at 964-1030 or 2carollee at embarqmail.com to sign up for your shift.  Please provide her with your name, phone number, email and desired shift time.

 

So far this year, the PTO has been able to purchase four ELMO projectors (one per school wing) with fundraiser proceeds.  The Book Fair proceeds will help the PTO grant more of the equipment wishes on the school wish list, i.e. external hard drives, student use microwaves, video cameras, "clicker" system for classroom use, etc.
