                  Thursday, October 26, 4:30pm - Science of the Circus with Bonzo Crunch:  A Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown

                  Pre-registration required.  Free.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.



                  Come learn about the science behind the circus.  How can clowns juggle and balance things so well?  Bonzo Crunch, a former clown of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, will demonstrate circus skills and explain the science behind them.  Sponsored by the Virginia Discovery Museum and the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.  The event will be held at the Downtown Visitor Center across the mall from the Virginia Discovery Museum.  To register please call 977-1025.



                   

                  Saturday, October 28, 6:00-7:30 - Annual Halloween Party
                  Pre-registration required.  Suggested ages 2-7.
                  $6 per person Members (adult and children)/  $8 per person Nonmembers (adult and children)

                  Children must be accompanied by an adult.
                  Wear your costumes, have your face painted, play Halloween games - our annual party is always a great time!  Space is limited, so register soon.

                   



                  Monday, November 6 - Tuesday, November 7, 9:00am - 12:00pm - Colonial Times Me at the Museum 

                  Pre-registration required.  Ages 6-8.

                  $50 Members/ $60 Nonmembers



                  Need something for your children to do during teacher workdays?  Let them spend the morning at the Museum learning about history, culture, or science.  The popular program Me at the Museum is back.  During the Colonial Times Me at the Museum children can churn butter, play colonial games, and make a dream catcher.

            HOURS:
            Tues-Sat 10:00-5:00 - Sun 1:00-5:00 - Closed Mondays 
            Closed the day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Jan. 1 and Easter. We are open when schools are closed on Snow Days (except on Mondays)! Just call the Museum before heading out.

            ADMISSION:
            $4 per person, all ages (under 1 year old free) - Children must be accompanied by an adult - Museum Members: Free - ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Members: Free - $0.50 AAA discount per person with card - Handicapped accessible

            PARKING:
            2 hours free parking at Market Street Parking Garage (5th & Market) or Water Street Parking Garage (3rd & Water) - bring ticket to front desk for validation
