            Dear Friends of the Virginia Discovery Museum:

             

            We are sorry to let you know that Peter Clark, our wonderful Gallery Manager for the past eight years, will be leaving the Museum November 17. 

             

            We would like your help in preparing a special gift for Peter, a scrapbook celebrating his time at the Museum. We would love to include notes, photos and drawings from kids who have enjoyed the Magic School Bus programs or other activities led by Peter over the years. We also welcome monetary donations towards a gift. We are trying to come up with an exciting present, but we may give him a gift certificate to help him with his hobbies, which include carpentry and outdoor activities. 

             

            We look forward to hearing from you by November 13.  Please don't say anything to Peter since this is a surprise! Donations can be mailed to the Museum at PO Box 1128, Charlottesville, VA 22902, or brought in person attention: Peppy or Louise on the envelope. The name of everyone who makes a donation  will appear on a card that accompanies his gift.

            HOURS:
            Tues-Sat 10:00-5:00 - Sun 1:00-5:00 - Closed Mondays 
            Closed the day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Jan. 1 and Easter. We are open when schools are closed on Snow Days (except on Mondays)! Just call the Museum before heading out.

            ADMISSION:
            $4 per person, all ages (under 1 year old free) - Children must be accompanied by an adult - Museum Members: Free - ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Members: Free - $0.50 AAA discount per person with card - Handicapped accessible

            PARKING:
            2 hours free parking at Market Street Parking Garage (5th & Market) or Water Street Parking Garage (3rd & Water) - bring ticket to front desk for validation
