            In this email: Holiday Hours, gift memberships, outdoor lamp posts and benches for sale.


                 We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season! The Virginia Discovery Museum will be closed Sunday, December 23; Monday, December 24; Tuesday, December 25; Monday, December 31; and Tuesday, January 1.
                    

            Virginia Discovery Museum memberships make great holiday gifts for the whole family! A Family membership at $60 will give a year of fun at VDM and over 300 science museums around the country. VDM members can also give a three month membership for only $15! Go to our website at vadm.org or call us at 434-977-1025 for more information about giving gift memberships.


            Have you seen the attractive outdoor lamp posts and park benches in our currenc Back Gallery exhibit, Meet Me on Main Street? When the exhibit closes on January 20, we will be selling the lamp posts for $100 each and the benches for $30 each. They must be picked up at the Museum after 5 PM on January 20 or during the day on Monday, January 21. Come by and take a look, then speak to a Gallery staff member if you are interested.

            As always, VDM t-shirts and hats, in kids and adult sizes, are available for $15 each at the Front Desk.

            HOURS:
            Tues-Sat 10:00-5:00 - Sun 1:00-5:00 - Closed Mondays 
            Closed the day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Jan. 1 and Easter. We are open when schools are closed on Snow Days (except on Mondays)! Just call the Museum before heading out.

            ADMISSION:
            $4 per person, all ages (under 1 year old free) - Children must be accompanied by an adult - Museum Members: Free - ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Members: Free - $0.50 AAA discount per person with card - Handicapped accessible

            PARKING:
            2 hours free parking at Market Street Parking Garage (5th & Market) or Water Street Parking Garage (3rd & Water) - bring ticket to front desk for validation
