            WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2007 - Schools may be closed for a snow day, but the Virginia Discovery Museum is open! Come and play! Charlottesville Public Transit is operating normally. We are open 10 am - 5 pm as usual. Our featured exhibit in the Back Gallery is the Magical Measurement History Tour, which includes a scavenger hunt and lots of measurement activities appropriate for school age children. We hope to see you at the Museum!

               

                 
                 A few places are still available in the Valentine Treasure Boxes program on Saturday, February 10, 10:30 - 11:15 am. This program is recommended for kids ages 4 and up with an adult. Preregistration is required, $4 for members, $6 for non-members. Create a special decorated box for your valentine.             HOURS:
            Tues-Sat 10:00-5:00 - Sun 1:00-5:00 - Closed Mondays 
            Closed the day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Jan. 1 and Easter. We are open when schools are closed on Snow Days (except on Mondays)! Just call the Museum before heading out.

            ADMISSION:
            $4 per person, all ages (under 1 year old free) - Children must be accompanied by an adult - Museum Members: Free - ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Members: Free - $0.50 AAA discount per person with card - Handicapped accessible

            PARKING:
            2 hours free parking at Market Street Parking Garage (5th & Market) or Water Street Parking Garage (3rd & Water) - bring ticket to front desk for validation
