KidVention: Discover Safety & Wellness

Charlottesville High School Gymnasium
It's our annual science learning bonanza! There will be plenty of hands-on activities, door prizes, and a few surprises! The Museum will be closed, so join us for this exciting FREE event. Wonderful for the entire family!
In partnership with WVPT Public Television and Z95.1 Lite Rock.

An introduction to the joys of building with Judy Cahill! Come put your measuring skills to work and use handtools to make a project that you can take home. Judy Cahill is an experienced carpenter with a BA in education and has been teaching local children woodworking for over twenty years. To register please call 977-1025.

Monticello High School Track
Individual races, parent/child races, sibling race (NEW), school relays, ribbons, cheers, trophies and prizes for those who raise the most money for the Museum. Complete information is available www.vadm.org or at the Museum. Pre-registration required. Pre-registration early deadline is April 27, absolutely no registrations accepted after May 2. NEW! This year, you will be able to register for the race online at our website, www.vadm.org.
Get ready for the Discovery Dash with a FREE training program for kids. The UVa Children’s Hospital, the Charlottesville Track Club and the Virginia Discovery Museum are teaming up on Saturdays April 14, 21, and 28, 8-9am at the Charlottesville High School track. Kids who attend all three sessions will get a free summer family membership (or an extension for current Museum members). Registration is recommended. Go to the events section of our website, www.vadm.org, for more information.

Tues-Sat 10:00-5:00 - Sun 1:00-5:00 - Closed Mondays
Closed the day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Jan. 1 and Easter. We are open when schools are closed on Snow Days (except on Mondays)! Just call the Museum before heading out.
ADMISSION:
$4 per person, all ages (under 1 year old free) - Children must be accompanied by an adult - Museum Members: Free - ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Members: Free - $0.50 AAA discount per person with card - Handicapped accessible
PARKING:
2 hours free parking at Market Street Parking Garage (5th & Market) or Water Street Parking Garage (3rd & Water) - bring ticket to front desk for validation
