            In this email: Deadline for ordering holiday wreaths; Holiday Houses program, Thanksgiving schedule.

               

                 
                 

                  The holidays are fast approaching, and Friday, November 16 is the deadline for ordering your wreath from VDM. These fresh, handmade balsam fir wreaths are decorated with pine cones and a tartan bow. They make wonderful gifts and can be shipped to any location in the continental US. Part of your purchase helps support VDM and $10 per wreath is tax deductible. You can order online at our website www.vadm.org or pick up order forms at the Museum.  


                 


            Our popular Holiday Houses program still has openings. Create your own holiday house with edible materials! Sessions are Saturday, December 1, 10:30 - 11:15, Saturday December 8, 10:30 - 11:15 or 2:30 - 3:15. The program is recommended for ages 4 and up, and the cost is $8 per child for Museum members, $10 for nonmembers. Just call the Museum at 977-1025 to register.


                 

                 
                  The Virginia Discovery Museum will be closed Wednesday, November 21 and Thursday, 
                  November 22. Happy Thanksgiving!

            HOURS:
            Tues-Sat 10:00-5:00 - Sun 1:00-5:00 - Closed Mondays 
            Closed the day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Jan. 1 and Easter. We are open when schools are closed on Snow Days (except on Mondays)! Just call the Museum before heading out.

            ADMISSION:
            $4 per person, all ages (under 1 year old free) - Children must be accompanied by an adult - Museum Members: Free - ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Members: Free - $0.50 AAA discount per person with card - Handicapped accessible

            PARKING:
            2 hours free parking at Market Street Parking Garage (5th & Market) or Water Street Parking Garage (3rd & Water) - bring ticket to front desk for validation
