                 Art Adventures!  

                  Monday, June 16 - Wednesday, June 18

                  9am - 12noon each day

                  Ages 6-8

                  $80 Members/ $100 Nonmembers

                   

                  Discover the true artist in you!  Make a Byzantine Mosaic, carve a relief sculpture, and splatter paint like Jackson Pollock!  Learn about different artists and techniques throughout history.  

                   

                  To register please call 434-977-1025.  Camp cancellation policy: 48 hours notice required for refund.  $5 cancellation fee.

            Monday, June 30 - Wednesday, July 2

            9am - 12noon each day

            Ages 6-8

            Take a trip back in time and across the ocean.  We will learn about pyramids, mummies, and more!

            Monday, July 7 - Wednesday, July 9

            9am - 12noon each day

            Ages 8-10

            $80 Members/ $100 Nonmembers

             

            Come discover the wonders of astronomy!  We will learn about the sun, the moon, the planets, and constellations!  The camp will end with a chance to see constellations in STARLAB, the Virginia Discovery Museum's portable inflatable planetarium!

            HOURS:
            Tues-Sat 10:00-5:00 - Sun 1:00-5:00 - Closed Mondays 
            Closed the day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Jan. 1 and Easter. We are open when schools are closed on Snow Days (except on Mondays)! Just call the Museum before heading out.

            ADMISSION:
            $4 per person, all ages (under 1 year old free) - Children must be accompanied by an adult - Museum Members: Free - ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Members: Free - $0.50 AAA discount per person with card - Handicapped accessible

            PARKING:
            2 hours free parking at Market Street Parking Garage (5th & Market) or Water Street Parking Garage (3rd & Water) - bring ticket to front desk for validation
