                 Astronomy!

                  Monday, July 7 - Wednesday, July 9

                  9am - 12noon each day

                  Ages 7-10

                  $80 Members/ $100 Nonmembers

                   

                  Come discover the wonders of astronomy!  We will learn about the sun, the moon, the planets, and constellations!  The camp will end with a chance to see constellations in STARLAB, the Virginia Discovery Museum's portable inflatable planetarium!

                   

                  To register please call 434-977-1025.  Camp cancellation policy: 48 hours notice required for refund.  $5 cancellation fee. 

                   
                 

             

                   
                 

             

             Summer is travel season. Remember to take your Virginia Discovery Museum membership card with you when you travel. Family members can visit over 300 ASTC museums around the country free. Explorer family members also get free reciprocal admission to an additional 140 children's museum.             HOURS:
            Tues-Sat 10:00-5:00 - Sun 1:00-5:00 - Closed Mondays 
            Closed the day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Jan. 1 and Easter. We are open when schools are closed on Snow Days (except on Mondays)! Just call the Museum before heading out.

            ADMISSION:
            $4 per person, all ages (under 1 year old free) - Children must be accompanied by an adult - Museum Members: Free - ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Members: Free - $0.50 AAA discount per person with card - Handicapped accessible

            PARKING:
            2 hours free parking at Market Street Parking Garage (5th & Market) or Water Street Parking Garage (3rd & Water) - bring ticket to front desk for validation
