                  It's our annual science learning bonanza!  Come learn about plants, water, the weather and more!  There will be plenty of hands-on activities, door prizes and a few surprises!  Join us for this exciting FREE event.  Wonderful for the entire family!   

                  In partnership with WVPT Public Television and Lite Rock Z95.1.

                  Space donated by the Charlottesville Pavilion.
                   

                  The Virginia Festival of the Book's Storyfest and Charlottesville Parks and Recreation's Family Fun Day will also be at the East End of the Downtown Mall on March 29.  Be sure to stop by and enjoy all three!

                  How Things Work:  Transportation!


                  Monday, April 7 - Wednesday, April 9

                  9 am - 12 noon each day

                  Ages 6-8

                  $80 members/ $100 nonmembers

                  Pre-registration required.


                  Why do boats float?  How can heavy planes stay up in the air?  Come discover how transportation works.  We will learn about planes, boats, cars, and more!

            HOURS:
            Tues-Sat 10:00-5:00 - Sun 1:00-5:00 - Closed Mondays 
            Closed the day before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Jan. 1 and Easter. We are open when schools are closed on Snow Days (except on Mondays)! Just call the Museum before heading out.

            ADMISSION:
            $4 per person, all ages (under 1 year old free) - Children must be accompanied by an adult - Museum Members: Free - ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Members: Free - $0.50 AAA discount per person with card - Handicapped accessible

            PARKING:
            2 hours free parking at Market Street Parking Garage (5th & Market) or Water Street Parking Garage (3rd & Water) - bring ticket to front desk for validation
